Lightbearers University is an apostolic teaching ministry, founded in the 90s. The founders are interdenominational ministers who travel worldwide to teach and impart the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

BRIEF HISTORY

We started the practical ministerial theology training program in 2015 to train and prepare God’s people for the work of God. We takes the service nearer to the students and the lessons are conducted both in English and in the local language of the Area. From our small beginnings, the University has expanded to over 15 Campuses across the country and over 500 people have graduated from the training programme with Diploma level achievements since its inception. We now offer courses up to Doctorate level respectively.

Campuses
We have Campuses at Kamwenge, Lyantonde, Wakiso, Nansana-Gganda, Nansana- Kyebando, Kyanja, Kasangati, Matugga, Buyala, Nampunge, etc.

To help people understand the commitment and responsibility attached to the school, a small fee is charged per Trimester to help cover basic costs and each year has three trimesters.

The certificate level course runs for 3 months and covers the following:

Bible study methods
Teaching principles and methods
How to counsel from scripture
Survey of the Old Testament
Church Administration
Leadership
Evangelism
Homiletics
Hermeneutics
Development, etc, etc

Accredited by: North American Association of Bible Colleges and Seminaries (NAABCS), International Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational institutions (IACE) & World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational Institutions (WWACCEI).

We offer Practical Ministerial Theology, Biblical Studies, Christian Apologetic, Christian Counseling, Christian Education, Christian Journalism, Christology, Counseling and Communication, Church Administration, Divinity, Messianic Prophecies, Ministry, Missiology, Pastoral Counseling, Sacred Scripture, Systematic Theology, Youth & Children Ministries.

We have a number of life changing audio teachings and videos available, with more content coming all the time.

ADDRESSING A DESPERATE NEED FOR BIBLE EDUCATION

Over 85% of pastors in East Africa have not had access to theological training. Many pastors have expressed to us a desperate need for Bible education, while others do not feel they need training because they have made it thus far without it.

Lightbearers University's current focus is on those pastors who feel stuck in their ministry, because while they are passionate to divide God’s Word accurately, they are not fully equipped to do so.

At the same time, Lightbearers University will look to reach those pastors who feel they don’t need further training because that perspective can lead to a dangerous attitude and mind-set.

However, some of the challenges we face are a lack of sufficient funds to run the Campus and the students dropping out due to financial constraints. We, therefore, need your prayer an support.
